Change Management

Change Management

We live in tough times. This gobal recession seems to have gone on longer than any previous recession and still shows no signs of abating.

So how do businesses survive in times when every day the world is facing doom and gloom?

We face change with courage and good decision making. With a willingness by everyone in the organisation, top down, to constantly look for ways to be more efficient; more effective and more creative.

There are four reactions to 'change':

1. Early adopters. No matter what level in your organisation, these early adlpters LOVE change. They thrive on it. It is their life blood.

2. The Wait-And-See people. Not resistant to change, but don't rush out and seek it. They truly will watch and wait; they'll observe the early adopters; watching with interest but not necessarily wanting to be the first people to put up their hands and say 'pick me.'

3. No Way Jose! These people will openly resist change. They will whinge and whine and spend hours in the lunch room berating bosses and the government and anyone else they can think of.

4. The Saboteurs. These people may actually give the impression that they support whatever change initiative has been announced. But behind the scenes they will do everything in their power to sabotage the process. They will drag their heels at meetings; they will take forever to do whatever it is you ask them to do and they will probably go so far as to make deliberate mistakes so the organisation is forced to say 'this won't work'

Change is inevitable. There is one school of thought that says that if we are doing today what we did yesterday, then we are on our way to obsolescence.

Every member of our staff needs to have the attitude that cnstantly looks for ways to improve systems; speed up processes; find ways to cut costs and above all else, to offer ideas for doing things differently.

If you even remotely fear that your people are resistant to change and are hanging on for dear life to the status quo, then we can help you

What Our Clients Say

Just when we thought there was no hope you found some.  Every member of the team thanks you for that.  We were all miserable but didn't know what to do to fix things.

Carolyn Marriott

Employee Relations Manager, Bluebird Foods Ltd.

I was amazed - 10 minutes into a one-hour presentation Ann had my employees involved and inspired. As a result of that one presentation we are ALL thinking differently. For the first time in my role as GM, the attendees are taking personal responsibility for outcomes rather than waiting for me to chase things along. Thank you for showing us the difference between parent/child and adult/adult.
